THE JOURNEY

QUICK
BIO

EARLY BEGINNINGS

In 2011, I founded Comunidad IT in Argentina, with the goal of providing free tech training to individuals facing employment barriers.
My work took me across Argentina, Chile, Mexico, and other Latin American countries, where I helped people gain the skills they needed to enter the tech field.

THE MOVE TO CANADA

After moving to Manitoba in 2015, I saw a similar issue—many people were working survival jobs without access to the training needed to advance their careers. At the same time, the demand for IT professionals was growing.
Motivated by what I had seen in Latin America, I decided to address this gap in Canada.

FOUNDING COMIT

In 2016, I founded ComIT, a charitable organization dedicated to breaking down barriers in the tech industry by offering free technology and professional skills training to unemployed and underemployed Canadians.
ComIT focuses on supporting Indigenous peoples, immigrants, visible minorities, and other communities facing employment barriers, aiming to create a more inclusive tech sector.

DRIVING
INCLUSION

PASSION FOR TECH INCLUSION

I’m passionate about ensuring that technology education is accessible to everyone because I believe it’s a powerful tool for social change. By opening doors for underrepresented groups, we are helping to diversify and strengthen the tech sector.

ADVOCATING FOR CHANGE

To promote these changes, I write articles and actively participate in events, talks, and panels, advocating for inclusion in the tech industry. One of my proudest achievements has been launching the Recoding Futures program in 2021 with the support of Google Canada, providing Indigenous learners with the tools to pursue careers in tech.

IMPACT

COLLABORATIONS

Before founding ComIT, I worked as an IT professional at Microsoft and IBM, experiences that helped me understand how technology can be a force for good.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked closely with companies like Microsoft, Google, Cisco, and Oracle on various projects.
I’ve also collaborated with universities such as MIT, the University of Buenos Aires, and UdeSA, as well as with federal and provincial governments in Canada and Argentina.

CONTINUING THE MISSION

Today, I live in Winnipeg with my family, where I continue my mission to ensure that everyone, regardless of background, has access to education and the tools needed to thrive in the tech industry.
